A bit of a cheat FO this week, but I really wanted to show off my very first sock!
I'm taking part in Visions of sugar plums sock knit-along and I'm kind of ahead despite being behind last week.
I love the heel on this pattern, it's lovely and thick and was so simple to do.
The second sock is already on my needles and I am child free today so will be able to work on them during the day..yay!
FREEBIE UP FOR GRABS!
I recently bought some KnitPro Symfonie DPN's but they're just not for me, so I think I'm going to offer them up to one of my followers. If you're not already a follower, you have a week to become one, then leave me a comment so I know you want to be included. I'll be drawing a name on Friday, 20th January at 10am, I'll announce the winner in my FO Friday post.
The DPN's are 10cm long and size 2.75mm. They would be perfect for anyone that makes dolls or gloves.
Your very first sock looks amazing! Great job :) Love the colour and it looks like it fits really well too :)
ReplyDeleteThe sock looks fantastic! love the colour! I would love to join in our giveaway!
ReplyDeleteGreat sock! I'm doing the sock along too, but I'm running a bit behind I think. Must work on sock!
ReplyDeleteLove your sock! I have decided I will be a wee bit behind in the sock-along. I have torn my sock out twice now. It will be awesome once it starts but...I keep twisting and it starts in purl. Argh!
ReplyDeleteGood for you for getting ahead of the curve.
Great job on the sock. I too love that style of heel flap.It gives it a more interesting look and a nice contrast to the rest of the sock. Happy Fiber Arts Friday!
ReplyDeleteThat is lovely yarn you have used for that sock. I find that always makes the difference when knitting socks. If the yarn is right you just want to knit it all the time.
ReplyDeleteThat sock looks like a great fit, well done, it has taken me several different patterns to find a method of getting socks that fit me properly!
Beautiful sock!love the colour and neat finish too
