I'm still plugging away with the doll . Much to my daughters annoyance, I haven't done much knitting this week...she REALLY wants the doll.
I'm about 1/4 the way through the head, the body is done (the knitting side anyway)
In the meantime my 2 year old did a bit of crafting of her own...
...on my bedroom TV!
I couldn't help but be impressed with her drawing skills, that's the first time she's drawn something other than a scribble...shame it was at the expense of my television.

Oh no! Did it come off? did the child live? Can't wait to see that doll finished. I live vicariously through others toy making. After doing a Sock MOnkey kit from Knitpicks I am off knitting figures!
ReplyDeleteHaha yes, it came off and therefore the child is still living :)
DeleteI'm relieved to hear it came off! I was just thinking about all the different cleaning tips I could come up with. Reminds me of when we were kids - we took all the vinyl records from their sleeves and set them out like tiles to make a dance floor. There were a lot of badly scratched records after that!
ReplyDeleteoh my god my husband would kill anyone who did that to our telly. Even if it was his own child. What a relief it came off. PHEWWWWW!
ReplyDeleteMy husband is the same with the main TV, he's not that bothered about the bedroom TV because it's just a cheapy thing (and only I watch it)

ReplyDeleteSorry about your tv, but it is great to have a budding artist in the family :).
ReplyDeleteYour doll is going to be so cute! I'm also glad the drawing came off the tv.
ReplyDeleteI remember when my daughters got creative with some black and purple crayons on the white walls of the hallway. Urg. It took hours to scrub it all off.
Your doll is coming right along - it will be done in no time!
ReplyDeleteNow you have some great, original artwork. I remember when my third child was born. I was nursing him on the couch and my second daughter (who was just under 2) took a sharpie and drew in every single diamond shape in our linoleum on our kitchen and dining room floor. Oh. My. Goodness!! Looking back on it, it's quite funny now - especially since we replaced the floor about 2 years ago :o)
Oh my, your daughters art work is a WIP in its own right. hu? You are very calm about it, hats off to you.
ReplyDeleteThanks also for sharing the dolly update, looks good
