It's Wednesday again and I seem to have my knitting mojo back.
I'm currently reading "Before I go to sleep" by SJ Watson. I'm not very far into it so I can't yet tell you if it's any good yet. My girls and me should to visiting the library either today or tomorrow morning so I'm hoping to pick up another Jodi Picoult.
On the needles this week we have Little Sister's Dress and a dress for the doll I made (sorry the pattern isn't on ravelry)
The Little Sister's Dress is a lovely mindless knit. I love things I don't have to think about. I'm making this for my youngest daughter.
The dress is a basic garter stitch dress
To give you an idea of how it will fit
I just need to find a tiny dolls belt buckle so I can make a belt to go around it.
Oooh and did you notice my new needles?
I'm slowly moving over to symfonie's because I have a nickel allergy and I suspect the metal needles are nickel based.
I'm also happy to report that I caught my daughter playing with her doll the other day.
She's very much looking forward to having some clothes for her :)

That doll dress is so cute :)
ReplyDeleteIn response to your comment on my blog - the stripe study shawl has the easiest short rows ever - you don't need to pick up the wraps because it's in garter stitch. Honestly, if you can knit, M1 and slip stitches (to do the wraps), you can definitely do it with no trouble! Rainbow yarn sounds really pretty!
Oh my goodness that dolly dress is so sweet!
ReplyDeleteI am popping in from Tami's WIP Wednesday. My project is here..

ReplyDeleteYour daughter looks like she's having a lot of fun with her doll! The dress is looking great so far.
ReplyDeleteI bet she really, really loves the doll once she's got clothes to change in and out of. Love the colours for the Little Sister's Dress that you've picked!
ReplyDeleteLove the knitting doll! Congrats!
ReplyDeleteI have always wanted to knit a dress for my girls, but never got around to it and now they are 6 and I think by the time I finished it wouldn't fit! I love yours, and the dolls dress is fabulous. I'm so glad to see she is being played with!
